Groton, New York – August 1, 2018 – Leading public school district, Groton Central Schools, is extremely proud to be the first New York Public School district to sign a district-wide partnership with Montreal based Education Technology company, GradeSlam.
Having already been recognized by the state of New York for implementing important new technologies each year, Groton Central School District has partnered with GradeSlam to continue to pushing innovation forward. This partnership will allow the district leaders at Groton to provide all of the students in grades three through twelve with unlimited online academic support for their classes.
Groton Central School District's superintendent, Margo Martin, has brought many innovative initiatives to the district over the years and is very excited to be the first New York district to partner with GradeSlam. Martin explained that she is eager to make GradeSlam a part of the students' school routine from an early age so that these students grow and learn with GradeSlam. By implementing GradeSlam, Groton will create an environment in which teachers have full confidence in knowing what kind of help specific students are seeking and what their strengths and weaknesses are. Martin hopes that by giving students access to supplemental support for their homework, students will complete their work on a more consistent and independent basis.
GradeSlam provides students with unlimited one-on-one online tutoring for any subject, 24/7. At GradeSlam, educators make students better learners by providing contextualized feedback on precisely where the student went wrong in the learning process and guiding them towards a deeper understanding of the problem. All of the tutoring sessions are recorded and analyzed to equip teachers with a formal record of their student’s learning outside of the classroom.
