GradeSlam has made some incredible advancements in the last few months. Having recently been featured in a number of online and print media, the education world is starting to get behind our platform and ethos. As has been the norm, I always try to keep everyone informed and up to date on what is happening at GradeSlam.
Here are the 5 biggest highlights from the last few months.
1- April 7th Announcement - We might be workaholics here at GradeSlam, but we couldn’t do what we do without the support of everyone around us. On Tuesday (this Tuesday) April 7th, GradeSlam is hosting a special event for the people who have helped us along the way. Coincidently, this also marks our one year anniversary (YES this is our birthday party).
On top of all this, we will be making a special announcement as we continue to completely change the education world with products and features to help children learn and succeed!

2- Tech Crunch Meetup & Pitchoff - The world leader in tech news, Tech Crunch, was in Montreal last week for their first ever meetup. The meetup featured a pitchoff where companies had 60 seconds to pitch their business to a panel of judges, including iNovia’s David Nault, Tech Crunch’s John Biggs, Ann Girard of Emerillion Captial and Raff Paquin of Interaction Ventures.
In what turned out to be an incredibly competitive pitch off with almost every company receiving huge praise, GradeSlam emerged victorious and was chosen as the Audience Choice – getting free entry to the TechCrunch Disrupt NY event in May.
3- Expo-ing at SXSWEDU - The GradeSlam team was in Austin, Texas last month at the South by South West Education edition. With more than 5000 educators, SXSWEDU is one of the biggest education technology conferences in North America.
GradeSlam participated in the expo – demoing to thousands of students, teachers and administrators from around the US and the world.
4- Notable Award for Best in Education - Notable.ca has become the gold standard for young professionals around the country. Each year they host a red carpet event where their Notable Awards are handed out to the “Best In” different categories. The star studded event featured Montreal Canadien’s PK Subban and internationally acclaimed chef Antonio Park, among others.
GradeSlam was selected as Best in Education for our hard work in the education community both in Montreal and around North America.
5- EdSurge LA Teacher Summit - At the end of April, GradeSlam will be off to the West Coast for the LA Teacher Summit hosted by EdSurge. Selected as one of the few companies who will present at their All Educator Day, GradeSlam will be showcased in front of thousands of teachers in SoCal. Another testament to GradeSlam’s growing adoption.
Thank you again for your continued support of GradeSlam – we look forward to many more amazing announcements in the near future. We love hearing from you so don’t hesitate to reach out any time!
